SPA VILNIUS Wins 2023 European SPA Association Award
The stage of the European SPA Association (ESPA) awards unfolded at the Karlovy Vary resort in the heart of the Czech Republic, where SPA VILNIUS Anykščiai received recognition and a special jury prize for the most innovative SPA concept.
The award was granted for a pioneering dietary concept designed to promote a healthier gut microbiome, introduced at MIŠKE restaurant within the Anykščiai Wellness Centre. Here, gut-friendly diet was developed, along with a new catering scheme, where guests received a personalised gut-friendly dietary recommendation plan or the option to choose gut-friendly meals based on their individual needs.
“In order to feel completely well, it's important to not only take care of your physical well-being but also to adopt a healthier lifestyle and provide the body with essential nutrients while avoiding less valuable ones. This strengthens the immune system and protects against infections, and it's heartening that our clients appreciate this. We are delighted that this innovative direction, developed in collaboration with scientists, has captured attention. It's a great honour to be among the best European wellness establishments of 2023,” said Giedrė Maumevičiūtė, the director of SPA VILNIUS Anykščiai.
An exclusive programme was developed in Anykščiai, including a gut-friendly tasting dinner and appropriately balanced breakfast for overnight guests. This reflects a dedicated focus on customers who care about their overall health and well-being. Balancing body treatments with a healthy diet creates a comprehensive experience. The latest research supports the impact of dietary principles on well-being and health.
The team at the MIŠKE restaurant of SPA VILNIUS skilfully transforms theoretical knowledge about nutrition into practical solutions, combining ingredients suitable for microbiome nutrition and smooth gut function. This provides guests with more choices and a personalised approach to their needs during their stay. The knowledge gained during the visit, which experts are happy to share, is recommended for application upon returning to one's daily routine.
ESPA unites members from 20 European countries and has been organising innovation awards for the sixth year. This event not only provides recognition but also encourages European health and wellness professionals to communicate, share innovative ideas, and exchange experiences.
